Sierra Large Hoop Earrings

Easy to Loose

"There is not enough length in the wire that goes through the loop to secure the earrings. The first time I wore them, one came unfastened and fell out. Fortunately, I was able to find it. After that I tried bending the wire a bit more to give a bit more length in the loop but today, despite that, one came out and is nowhere to be found. As they were a gift from my son, and I have the matching bracelet, I may order another pair and see if/how I can fix the problem. It is so disappointing. I've purchased, gifted and been gifted, several pieces of Holly Yashi jewelry but it appears that attempting to reduce costs has resulted in poorer quality."

Great earings

"I bought these large multi colored hoops to go with my two Merida necklaces and I love them. Yes, the earwire is thin but I found it is easy to insert. Yes, one of the earings flew out of my ear 5 minutes after I had put it in. But I found it and solved the problem. Like I do with all my 14k gold post earings, I slide one of those small rubber earing backs onto the post/wire protruding behind the ear before clasping, so if the earing unclasps, the little rubber back stops the earing from coming off. Be gentle when inserting, the ear wire will slide through a rubber back before you clasp it and you can wear these hoops with confidence that they won't come off."

Not what i was expecting

"I generally absolutely LOVE holly yashi jewelry, unfortunately I was not thrilled about the quality of these hoops. The wire was very thin and the closure was flimsy. They were pretty to look at but I am returning them and will order something else. I know I can find something else I love."

Unsecure clasp on earrings

"The Sierra Large Hoop earrings are the most awkward earrings to put on and to close the "clasp". The "clasp" doesn't seem secure at all. I've purchased about 50 pairs of earrings fron HY and never had this issue. If I can't figure out how to secure a French wire to these, I'll have to return them. It's a shame because they are lovely earrings."
